What happens when your agency is growing, but every new client makes you busier instead of freer?
For Jente, founder of a YouTube video agency, that was exactly the problem.
His agency was serving around 13 clients with four full-time team members and additional freelancers. Revenue was growing, the team was expanding, and from the outside, the business looked successful.
But behind the scenes, Jente and his business partner were still doing roughly 80% of the work themselves.
Very little was delegated. Processes were not properly documented. Repetitive tasks filled each day, and the business depended heavily on the founders to keep everything moving.
Jente had achieved part of the freedom he wanted. He could travel and work from almost anywhere.
But he still had to work constantly.
He had location freedom, but not time freedom.
The agency had grown beyond freelancing, but it had not yet become a business that could operate independently of its founder.
Jente described the agency at the time as an "enhanced freelancer" operation with extra help.
The team was growing, but without clear systems or delegation, more clients simply created more work for the founders.
At the same time, Jente was surrounded by different ideas about how to scale.
There were countless strategies, systems, and approaches he could follow, but no clear understanding of which one actually mattered for his agency at that moment.
The result was a business that had momentum, but lacked focus.
Jente knew he wanted to grow. More importantly, he wanted to build an agency that gave him the freedom to decide when he worked, not just where he worked.
He just did not know how to get there.

Over the next 13 months, his agency transformed.
The agency grew from roughly 13 clients to 25.
The team expanded from four full-time employees to 12.
Revenue reached $86,000 in August, representing roughly 3.5x growth from where the agency started.
And they did not stop at 25 clients because demand disappeared.
They intentionally capped the agency at 25 clients to protect the quality of their service and now have a waitlist of prospective clients.
But the biggest transformation was not the revenue.
It was freedom.
Jente is no longer involved in the daily management of the agency.
Instead, he can focus on strategy, vision, and supporting his team while knowing the business can continue operating when he steps away for several days or even a week.
Thirteen months earlier, he did not fully consider himself a business owner.
Today, he does.
One of his biggest lessons throughout the process was simple: let go and delegate.
By building the right team, creating stronger systems, and giving people the responsibility to own their work, Jente was able to remove himself as the center of the agency.
The result is a business that is larger, more structured, and more capable of growing without requiring its founder to sacrifice the freedom he started it to create.
